Yuh Okano - Thoughts of Japan - Textures on wrapping cloth.

6th & 7th - Thursday & Friday in October 2011 Code YO01

Fee for 2 day workshop $298.00 plus materials

Marion comments: I met Yuh in Canberra some years ago. I was very impressed by her knowledge and energy: an opportunity to spend time with her came about when TAFTA announced they would host a workshop at Geelong Textile Fibre Forum in 2011. Yuh will tutor this 2 day workshop at Beautiful Silks, during which we will make several beautiful Japanese wrapping cloths. You will learn degumnming and some dyeing and shibori techniques will be explored. If you are doing the Geelong forum workshop, this workshop may just help you to get a littl body of work together for that workshop.
